Martin Reader in action

Ken MacDonald has been involved in the sport of volleyball in Canada and internationally for over 30 years as an Athlete, Referee, Coach and Manager.  During this time, he participated in 29 Regional and 27 National Military Championships, over 20 Provincial and Canadian National Championships, and 17 World Championships. He has amassed over 25 first place finishes including 3 Provincial Championships. He has also led his team to 3 second place finishes at the Canadian Nationals and has won numerous CoEd and 2-man Beach Volleyball tournaments.  Ken has been awarded numerous Athlete and Coach of the Year Awards. He was inducted into the CF’s Hall of Fame (Honour Roll) in 1995.  Ken has lived in the Comox Valley for 17 years. He currently manages the Canadian Forces CISM Men’s National Volleyball program and coaches the 19 Wing Comox Men’s Valleyball team which earlier this year, won the CF National Championship for the first time since 1983.  Ken says one of the highlights of his career was having had the privilege of playing against, refereeing and watching Martin Reader become such a gifted volleyball player

Dave Neill has coached school volleyball for the past twenty-six years.  Over the past twenty-two years at Georges P Vanier Secondary Dave’s teams have taken many trips to the AAA and AAAA Provincial Championships.  Dave also works with the Comox Valley Volleyball Club.
