The construction of identity is ongoing; this project is a meaningful part of the process.

Shared Learnings: Integrating BC Aboriginal Content K-10 focuses on the diversity, depth, and integrity of the cultures of British Columbia Aboriginal peoples. It is a guide for teachers, developed in recognition of the need for classroom materials that can help all teachers provide students with knowledge of, and opportunities to share experiences with, BC Aboriginal peoples.

Aboriginal Curriculum Integration Project

The Aboriginal Curriculum Integration Project is committed to honoring the values, cultures and perspectives of British Columbia's Aboriginal people. The knowledge derived from local Aboriginal experts will be valued and utilized respectfully.

The website contains lessons in English, Science, Social Studies, Math and PE. There is also a section on the NAIG 2008 games. The lessons contain locally created videos as well.

Aboriginal Peoples - Fact and Fiction

The second edition of this book reviews the history of Québec from 1760 to the present, with the objective of demystifying commonly-held ideas about Aboriginal people. It is also intended to promote better relations between Quebecers and Aboriginals.

The book, written by Pierre Lepage of the Commission’s Educational and Cooperation Service, answers many of the questions that underlie old and new prejudice about Aboriginal people.
