The first semester of the 2009/2010 school year is behind us and we are just into the start of semester 2!  There are a number of important dates for students and parents to be aware of and remember: 

• Term 2 and semester 1 reports cards go home on February 9, 2010
• Grad Potluck event is February 16, 2010 at 6:30 to 9pm
• SD71 Showcase Music is February 17, 2010 at 6:30pm
• District Program and Dual Credit Info Night for Parents is February 17, 2010 at 7pm in room 215

Student Programming for September 2010

Highland is in the beginning of the programming cycle for students to choose courses for the next school year.  Following the course selection process, the school will work towards building a timetable for courses for the following year.  Parents should be aware of the following general timelines:

Week of February 15-19
Students will receive course selection booklets and students will be given information about programming options.

February 19th:  All current students in grade 8 to 11 will hand in their completed programming sheet with course selections for 2010/2011

Week of February 22-26
Administration will followup with any students who have not handed in their programming sheets.  Students who are late handing in their programming sheet or do not hand in their programming sheet risk not getting courses they select.

March 1st and 2nd
Administration/Counselors will collate and enter programming data into the administrative system to give information about courses that will run for next year and how many sections of courses will run for next year

Rest of March
School will begin to develop timetable for 2010/2011
