A LARGE BLACK BEAR HAS BEEN REPORTED TO BE FREQUENTING THE AREA AROUND THE SCHOOL AND NEARBY NEIGHBOURHOOD, APPARENTLY DISREGARDING HUMAN PRESENCE. PARENTS ARE URGED TO MAKE THEIR CHILDREN AWARE OF THIS AND DISCUSS APPROPRIATE ACTION IN CASE OF AN ENCOUNTER. THE SCHOOL IS NOTIFYING THE AUTHORITIES AND POSTING WARNING SIGNS. ANYONE ELSE ENCOUNTERING/SPOTTING A BEAR IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD IS REQUESTED TO REPORT THE SIGHTING TO CONSERVATION OFFICER SERVICES AT 1-250-286-7630 IMMEDIATELY. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - CLASS LISTS FOR 2010-11 ... AND WILLIS WAY IS NOW COMPLETE AND OPEN FOR USE! The 213 m boardwalk between Venture Rd./Barbara Rd. and Willis Way/the school looks fabulous and should help lots more students get to school by foot or wheels! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 'WALL OF FAME' BEGUN BY THE GRADE 7 CLASS OF 2010!! All the Grade 7 students of the 2009-10 year were given the opportunity to leave a bit of themselves behind as they move on to high school. A colored handprint and signature of each student now adorns the 'wall' bordering our deck by the music portable. Each year's Grade 7 class in future will be invited to do this ... until we run out of wall!
