Lake Trail Secondary School is a grade 8 to 10 school of about 300 students located in Courtenay, British Columbia.  The school offers a complete program for students including a Advisory system, core and elective programs, student-run assemblies, intramurals and extra-curricular activities.  Advisor groups have a mixture of grade 8 to 10 students.  The school has a 4-day rotating timetable with first class starting at 8:50 am and the final bell for the day at 3:00 pm.  Students receive a short nutrition break in the morning and a 40 minute lunch time.   

 The school has a diverse student population that includes students in honours programs, First Nations programs, an International program with students from Spain, Tiawan and Korea, Learning Assistance and an in-school Success program.
